Giving Gratitude’s Birthday!

Giving Gratitude has been a beacon for so many people. With the struggles of the pandemic, frontline workers were being overworked and underappreciated. Giving Gratitude worked to change this. By sending monthly cards to frontline workers, Giving Gratitude has sent over 6,000 cards in its two years as an organization.
Currently, there are 284 members and seven chapters of Giving Gratitude. The chapters are based in states in the United States or countries out of the United States. For American states, California, Florida, Virginia?, and Maryland. Additionally, Long Island (an island in New York) and Oahu (an island in Hawaii) also have chapters. Outside of the United States, Saudia Arabia and India have chapters. While all of these people are hard workers and deeply invested in the cause, Giving Gratitude was not always a major organization. No one can deny that it took work to get to where we are today.
Without the dedication of our founder, Kira Logan, we would not have made it to 1,000 cards, let alone 6,000. In Giving Gratitude’s first month, we had no chapters and only nine members. We were only able to send out thirty cards. Our first year overall led us to 150 members, 4 chapters, and 2500 card submissions. This means we have gained 134 members and two chapters; in total, we have sent more than 3,500 cards in the past year.
With the involvement of our community, these numbers will only increase. With chapters all over the world, we have a position available to anyone and everyone. There is always room for more love, which has been proven by Giving Gratitude.
Giving Gratitude continues to send cards every month because even though the pandemic has improved, frontline workers still need to be supported. We always need to show gratitude to the essential workers because our world depends on them. We would not be educated, healthy, or safe if there were no frontline workers. While it is their job to help us, their acts should not go unnoticed.
With today being the two-year anniversary of Giving Gratitude, everyone should show some love to their local frontline workers. Whether it is an in-person thank you or a card submission to Giving Gratitude, everyone should do their part to achieve many more years of the organization.
